Textiles and Dress of Gujarat is for anyone who is interested in the textiles and culture of this region and for those who want a better understanding of how textiles made their way around the world via international maritime trade. This book is a travel log of market shots, nothing informative about the wide range of garments and the techniques.

This would have to one of the best books on Indian textiles I own. Great photos, plenty of good reading, infact, everything you would want in a book of this nature.
Excellent new book on the traditional textiles of the western Indian state of Gujarat. The author has lived and worked with tribal people, especially the Rabari nomads of the Kutch region, and speaks with deep knowledge of their skills and practices. This book is an important and valuable addition to the bibliography of work on Indian textile crafts.
